Here you’ll find information about ingredients and products which I use often- where you can buy them, or (for some ingredients) how you can make them on your own.
Almond/cashew/peanut/sunflower seed butter: Most store-bought brands contain unhealthy oils and a lot of sugar. Thankfully, you can easily make your own. Here’s how (coming soon).
Apple Cider Vinegar: I order my organic apple cider vinegar from I-herb.com, which has very fast and cheap shipping to the Middle East. I have also found unpasteurized apple cider vinegar in Al-Othaim, Carrefour, and Tamimi markets.
Butter: I buy Kerry Gold butter, which is a very high quality and nourishing butter obtained from grass-fed cows. Here in Riyadh, I have found it at Carrefour and Tamimi.
Chocolate Chips: these chocolate chips are Allergy Friendly, which means they are free of the 8 common allergens- wheat, dairy, peanuts, tree nuts, egg, soy, fish, and shellfish.
Coconut Flour: most recipes do not require very much coconut flour, so this bag last me a long time.
Coconut oil: I order from here.
Coconut milk: I make my own, it’s very easy and much healthier (and more delicious!) than store-bought. Here’s how.
Elderberry Syrup: To make your own syrup, you can use this recipe, and buy your elderberries from here. This bag will make almost 7 1/2 batches of syrup.
Sea Salt: this Himalayan pink sea salt is packed with minerals and trace elements.
Vitamin D: My kids love the taste of these vitamins, and I love the fact that 1 gummy contains 1000 IU of vitamin D.
