Hi everybody, Asiyah here!
I’d like to share with you the very first recipe that I created on my own! These Date Balls are so easy to make, delicious, and nutritious. I like to pack them in my school lunch for a healthy treat! They give me lots of energy to get through the rest of my day. They are:
- naturally sweetened with dates and contain no refined sugars
- contain only 5 ingredients
- gluten, dairy, and (optional) nut free
- perfect for Iftars or to bring to a gathering
<– These are a popular date cookie here in Saudi, but they contain almost 3 spoons of sugar per cookie!
They also lack the protein of my Easy Date Balls, and contain white flour, which is stripped of nutrients and then bleached white. Yuck!!

Where are the directions for your” Easy Date Balls”? They look good but do you bake them or what after you make the balls. Thanks
Dr. Laura says
No need to bake, you just blend the ingredients and form into balls. Then you can roll the balls in coconut flakes, cocoa powder, or crushed nuts if you’d like.
